内容:
Majorana zero modes (MZMs) exhibit non-Abelian braiding statistics, rendering them a cornerstone for topological quantum computing. A robust MZM platform demands a wide topological superconducting parameter space that facilitates experimental detection and control of MZMs and provides a promising device for realizing topological quantum computation. In this talk, I will begin by discussing how the Meissner effect can induce the topological superconducting phase in a superconductor/topological-band (SC/TB) hybrid system, which reduces the required magnetic field below H_c1. Then, I will explore the potential of using either the Meissner effect or the Abrikosov vortex to realize controllable MZMs in the SC/TB nanowire system. These results are supported by realistic simulations shown during this talk. Finally, I will present the scheme for building a robust Majorana platform based on SC/TB nanowire systems and discuss the key difficulties towards topological quantum computing.
