(By Shuai Sun) IIIS Commencement and Yaoclass Meeting 2015 took place at the Lecture Hall, FIT Building, on the afternoon of June 30, 2015. Prof. Bin Yang, Vice President of Tsinghua University, Prof. Andrew Chi-Chih Yao, Dean of IIIS, Prof. Thomas Moscibroda, Chair professor of IIIS, were invited to attend the commencement, with the presence of IIIS faculty, all the graduates of 2015 and some students' parents. Prof. Longbo Huang, Director of Yaoclass, hosted the commencement.
Prof. Yao is giving opening address
In his welcome speech, Prof. Yao mentioned that we were embracing a great era for pursuing and realizing dreams. China would be the largest economy in decades, when the scientific innovation of China played an important role. All the graduates were therefore encouraged to be innovative and be bold with dreams and be your best self.

On behalf of Tsinghua University, Prof. Bin Yang extended his congratulations to all the graduates. “International, Interactive and Innovative” was his perception of the three Is in IIIS. Prof. Bin Yan also put forward his expectation towards IIIS graduates, to choose a road that is not easy to march and to do something new and go from Zero to One.
Prof. Thomas Moscibroda is giving speech.
Congratulations and wishes also extended to all the graduates by Prof. Thomas Moscibroda. A door would be opened for you, Prof. Thomas said, no matter if you joined the industry or stayed at academia. Self-confidence and dealing with ambiguity would be the core competence in your performance evaluation. All the graduates were encouraged to be self-confident and work hard in their future life.

Yu Yan from Yaoclass 2010 and Zhaoquan Gu from Yaoclass 2007 shared their experience at IIIS and expected to walk on bravely with the stamp of Yaoclass. Wei Hu, Yao Award Winner, and Jinxu Zhao, vice president of Yaoclass student association, also presented their achievement in academy and student activities in the last year.

The Ceremony successfully concluded in the Old Anthem of Tsinghua. This year, 53 IIIS students will receive degree awarding, including 39 undergraduates, 4 PhD and 10 masters. Wish success to all the graduates in their pursuit of dreams.
